Hello Evanston Parents, Teachers & Kids!
Did you know that I used to live in Evanston? One of my MathStart stories even takes place in "Dave's Down to Earth Rock Shop!" And not only does The Main Street Kids' Club, the musical based on six of my books, refer to that Main Street, but it was also workshopped at Northwestern! I am so excited to being coming to my friends Jeff and Nina's wonderful book store, Bookends & Beginnings on Tuesday, November 10. There will be a story hour in the morning at 10:30 a.m. called "Story Time! Big Time!" I will be reading stories from both my MathStart and I See I Learn books. At 6:00 p.m., I will be giving a talk for parents, teachers and librarians: "Visual Learning: Stories & Helping Our Kids Succeed!" There will be plenty of storytelling for kids, too! Of course, a bookstore as magical as Bookends & Beginnings would be located in Evanston's answer to Harry Potter's Diagon Alley. It is literally in an alley! How cool is that? If you haven't been there before, the alley is right off of Sherman Avenue, across the street from CVS. The phone number is 224-999-7722. I look forward to seeing you soon! |
